In 2022-2023

Premiere Film is the Italian distributor of the short films:

  • LE VARIABILI DIPENDENTI by Lorenzo Tardella, produced by CSC – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema, winner of the David di Donatello 2023.
  • CANDIES by Matteo Panebarco, winner of the Pulcinella Award for best short film at Cartoon on the Bay 2023.
  • ALBERTINE WHERE ARE YOU by Maria Guidone, Best Director Award at the SIC@SIC 2022 International Critics’ Week of the Venice Film Festival.
  • REGINETTA by Federico Russotto, winner of the award for the Best Technical Contribution at the SIC@SIC 2022 International Critics’ Week of the Venice Film Festival.
  • JAMAL TOSMAL by Martina Pastore, winner of the Rai Cinema Channel Award at Alice nella Città 2022.

  • INCHEI by Federico Demattè, winner as Best Director and Best Short Film at the International Critics’ Week of the 78th Venice Film Festival.
  • NOTTE ROMANA by Valerio Ferrara, produced by CSC Production, winner of the FEDIC Award & Special Mention as Best Short Film, collateral and official award of the 78th Venice Film Festival.
  • AMBASCIATORI by Francesco Romano, the only Italian short film selected at the Festival du Court Métrage de Clermont Ferrand, the main event in the world dedicated to short films.
  • L’UOMO MATERASSO by Fulvio Risuleo, Best Short Film at Cortinametraggio.
  • DESTINATA CONIUGI LO GIGLIO by Nicola Prosatore, winner of the Silver Ribbon.
  • LE VARIABILI DIPENDENTI by Lorenzo Tardella, the only Italian short film selected at the Berlinale.
  • IL BARBIERE COMPLOTTISTA by Valerio Ferrara, winner of the First Prize at Cannes Film Festival – Cinèfondation.

In 2020-2021

Premiere is the Italian distributor of the short films:

  • Our short film A CUP OF COFFEE WITH MARILYN by Alessandra Gonnella, with Miriam Leone, won the 2020 SILVER RIBBON as Best Live Action Short Film
  • L’AMORE OLTRE IL TEMPO by Emanuele Pellecchia, won the 2020 GOLDEN GLOBE as Best Live Action Short Film
  • SPERA TERESA by Damiano Giacomelli won the Best Live Action Short Film award at the 2020 TORINO FILM FESTIVAL
  • Our short films BARADAR and OUR TIME are nominated at the main Italian Cinema Award: the DAVID DI DONATELLO
  • Our Short Films GOD DRESS YOU, ACCAMORA and LUCE & ME are in competition at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2021
  • YALLA by Carlo D’Ursi won the FORQUE AWARD 2020 as Best Short Film (The Forque Award is one of the most prestigious awards for cinema in Spain)
  • THE RECICLYING MAN is nominated for the Méliès D’Argent 2021, the main award for genre films
  • FERINE di Andrea Corsini is nominated for the Méliès D’Argent 2020, the main award for genre films

In 2019

For the last two years Premiere Film has been a co-organizer of ALICE NELLA CITTA’ – autonomous parallel section of FESTA DEL CINEMA DI ROMA (Rome International Film Festival).

Premiere Film distributed the following short films:
  • SUGARLOVE directed by Laura Luchetti, winner of the Silver Ribbon for the best animated short film;
  • MOTHS TO FLAME” (Moths to Flame) directed by Marco Pellegrino and Luca Jankovic, winner of the Silver Ribbon for the best live-action short film;
  • VIA LATTEA directed by Valerio Rufo and winner of the Special Prize from Silver Ribbon’s Jury;
  • PER SEMPRE directed by Alessio Di Cosimo, winner of the Special Prize from Silver Ribbon’s Jury;
  • YOUSEF directed by Mohamed Hossameldin, produced by Premiere Film, one of the 5 nominated for David di Donatello, Silver Ribbon finalist and the only Italian film selected to the international section of Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival; 
  • IM BÄREN directed by Lilian Sassanelli is among the five finalists of David di Donatello and Silver Ribbon;
  • BARADAR directed by Beppe Tufarulo, winner of the best short film at Giffoni Film Festival;
  • MANARA directed by Zayn Alexander, winner of the Laguna Award during Giornate Degli Autori at Venice International Film Festival;
  • UN COSA MIA directed by Giovanni Dota, produced by Premiere Film had it premiere screening at I LOVE GAI, a Venice International Film Festival section dedicated to young authors.

In 2018

Premiere is the Italian distributor of the short films:

  • THE SILENT CHILD, directed by Chris Overton and Rachel Shenton, winner of the Oscar 2018;
  • RISE OF A STAR, directed by James Bort, with Catherine Deneuve, short listed by the Academy;
  • COSI’ IN TERRA, by Lorenzo Pisano, produced by CSC Production. Short film in competition at Cannes Film Festival – Cinéfondation;
  • MAGIC ALPS, directed by Andrea Brusa and Marco Scotuzzi, the only Italian short film selected to the international competition at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and the finalist of Silver Ribbon;
  • FINO ALLA FINE directed by Giovanni Dota, official selection at Settimana Internazionale della Critica – Mostra del Cinema di Venezia 2018;
  • SUGARLOVE directed by Laura Luchetti, official selection at Settimana Internazionale della Critica – Mostra del Cinema di Venezia 2018;

The same year Premiere Film is the organizer of ALICE NELLA CITTA’ – short film section of ROME FILM FEST.

In 2017

Premiere Film signed the agreement with CSC-Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia di Roma for the festival distribution of the short films of the alumni of the major film school of Italy.

In 2017 we distributed the short films:

  •  SING by Kristof Déak, the winner of the Oscar for the Best Live-Action Short Film;
  • A GENTLE NIGHT by Qiu Yang, winner of Palme D’Or at Cannes Film Festival;
  • PENALTY by Aldo Iuliano, winner of the Italian Golden Globe;

The company is present at some of the major film markets: Clermont Ferrand Short Film Market, Marchè du Film of Cannes Film Festival, Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
